DOMESTIC EPCs IN LANARKSHIRE AND ALL SURROUNDING AREAS

What is an EPC?

An EPC is an Energy Performance Certificate which is required by law when a property is built, sold or rented. The EPC has to be displayed in the property if it is being rented out either in the meter cupboard or next to the boiler. The EPC will contain information about your property's energy usage and energy costs. It'll also have recommendations about how to reduce energy usage and save money and any potential energy improvements that can be made to the property. The EPC gives a property an energy efficiency rating, this is rated from A (most energy efficient) to G (least energy efficient) on a domestic property. The EPC is valid for 10 years unless an improvement is made to the property by upgrading anything from insulation to the heating system. We can also provide commercial EPCs and a variety of other energy surveys.

EPC: A Legal Requirement

Energy Performance Certificates are a legal requirement when selling or renting a property. Our experts can carry out several EPCs on a daily basis. All our assessors are all fully trained and qualified and accredited with a certification scheme. They provide professional assessments and offer the best advice available.

It is now very common for an EPC to be used as standard practice whenever a property is being upgraded through a government funded scheme such as ECO funding. This is to show the difference in energy rating before and after any improvement measure.

We cater for all walks of life whether you are an individual seeking to rent out your first property, a building contractor or you are a large Housing Association or Council. Legionella Risk Assessment

Legionnaires' disease is a fatal form of pneumonia caused by the inhalation of small droplets of water contaminated by legionella. Any hot and cold water system provides an environment where legionella can grow. This can be managed with risk assessments by our qualified assessors, using the latest government approved software.

Home Energy Lanarkshire is equipped with the knowledge and legislation for producing Legionella Risk Assessments which will highlight the risks and control methods to ensure a Legionella free environment.

It is common practice when a house is rented out to have a Legionella Risk Assessment carried out to ensure there is no risk to any current or potential tenants.

If you are unsure if you require a Legionella Risk Assessment then our team are on hand to provide you with the guidance and legislation required to find an easy, honest and simple solution.
