COMMERCIAL EPCs IN LANARKSHIRE AND ALL SURROUNDING AREAS

Commercial EPCs for Your Business Premises

If you are using excessive energy at your business premises, the building may not be energy efficient. We understand that any newly built property in the UK requires an Energy Performance Certificate when it is constructed. All existing buildings need one when they are offered for sale. If you have a commercial property that needs an EPC, give us a call today and we'll be glad to ensure that your property is compliant with the latest energy regulations. We can also provide domestic EPCs and a variety of other energy surveys.

Commercial EPC

An EPC rates how energy efficient your building is using grades from 'A' to 'G' with A being the most efficient grade.

 You need an EPC when:

  • You rent out or sell the premises

  • A building under construction is finished

  • There are changes to the number of parts used for separate occupation & these changes involve providing or extending fixed heating, air conditioning or mechanical ventilation systems

  • You are applying for a grant or energy improvement through a funding mechanism

About the EPC

You must display an EPC by fixing it to your commercial building if all these apply:

  • The total useful floor area is over 500 square metres

  • The building is frequently visited by the public

  • An EPC has already been produced for the building's sale, rental or construction

The cost of the EPC will vary depending on the size and complexity of the building being assessed.

The EPC is valid for 10 years unless there are any changes to the building.
